5 Comfort Reads #Connect Five Friday

Hi guys, welcome to another Connect Five Friday post! Today I am going to talk about five comfort reads, these are five books which are super engrossing AND they give you hope and warms your heart. When you are feeling that nothing is going right and you need to read something to disconnect from reality, at least for sometime, then pick one of the reads from the list below.

Connect Five Friday is a feature/link up hosted by Book Date. For this feature you will have to make a list of five books or things connected to books. There is no set topic, so you can make a list of any bookish things.

Now without much further ado let’s get to the list!

The Prince and the Dressmaker by Jen Wang

I recently read this one and I really really loved it. It is a graphic novel about a prince and a seamstress. I think it is a perfect comfort read. It has a happy ending, it has cute ya love, plus the artwork in this book is superb.

The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang

A well written romance novel with a quirky heroine and a handsome & caring hero with a sprinkling of a great family and a happy ending. What else do you need in a comfort read?

Right Ho, Jeeves by P.G Wodehouse

It is for all those people who want a book that will never let you stop laughing. This book doesn’t have much of a plot but it is super entertaining and funny. A perfect comfort read when you don’t want to engage your brain cells too much.

Harry Potter and the Philospher’s Stone by J.K Rowling

A book about friendship, magic, victory of good over evil and a great set of characters who you will instantly fall in love with. A perfect comfort read in my opinion.

The Gift of the Magi by O. Henry

The Gift of the Magi is a heartwarming short story, that will stay with you long after you have finished reading it. It is essentially a story about love and sacrifices you can make just to see a smile on your loved ones face.

Have you read any of the above mentioned books? What books do you recommend as perfect comfort reads?

    1. This is the perfect time to pick up a PG Wodehouse book, they are super entertaining. I wish I had a new one on my shelves, the only ones I have are the ones I have already read and I can’t even order more because of the nationwide lockdown.
