9 Books I’d Slay a Lion to Get Early a.k.a My most Anticipated releases #TopTenTuesday

Hi guys, Welcome! Top Ten Tuesday turned 10 years old today. So for TTT’s 10th Anniversary, Jana has given us two post options either re-do/update a previous ttt post of ours or do a prompt we have never done before. I chose to do the later one. Thus, today I am here with the 388th prompt, Books I’d Slay a Lion to Get Early. Let’s begin!

Loveless by Alice Oseman

Ace rep and I love Alice Oseman and that cover! Oh my God, I need this book right now! I said right now! But until and unless I discover some super power and reach a 1000 subscribers overnight and in the same time improve my feedback ratio to atleast a 80%, I don’t think their is any chance of me getting this book. But I guess I can go to the Harper Collins office and brandish my sword, that can work right?

The Minders by John Marrs

You people know how much I loved What Lies Between Us by John Marrs, so will it not be just cruel to not give me early access to this book, just plain cruel!!!! But maybe Random House will disagree when they see my 23% feedback ratio. So I think the only way I am getting this book is by slaying the publicist who handles the requests and then using his account to approve myself.

Cinderella Is Dead by Kalynn Bayron

Queer black girls overthrowing Patriarchy. I needed this book yesterday! Seriously man, please anyone tell me who do I need to slay. A lion, tiger, dragon, who? I am ready.

Beach Read by Emily Henry

Writers falling in love. And people can’t stop raving about how good this book is. I promise I will never waste time on Social Media and clear my Netgalley Backlog within a month. Please give me this book. Pretty Please!!!!!

Girl, Serpent, Thorn by Melissa Bashardoust

A f/f fairytale. A girl cursed to be poisonous to touch. And that cover. Well, I need this book now and no, I don’t care that I have around 50 unread books on my shelf.

The Boy from the Woods by Harlan Coben

I think this book has already released but it is available to request on Netgalley so I am counting it.

You all know that Home by Harlan Coben is one of favourite thrillers. I have talked about it in a lot posts and recommend it to every person who has ever asked me for a thriller recommendation. Basically, I have done everything short of screaming from the rooftop about that book! I love that book so very much! So will it not be just barbaric to not give me an early access to Harlan Coben’s newest release! Just barbaric!

The Book of Two Ways by Jodi Picoult

I recently read The Pact by Jodi Picoult and absolutely loved it. Like absolutely! I know that Jodi Picoult has a backlist of over 20 books, which if I start from today, will take more than a year to complete and yes, I still need access to the one that has yet to release.

Invisible Girl by Lisa Jewell

Bloggers and Booktubers just can’t shut up about this author. JUST CAN’T. So I really need to read this book to know what the hype is all about. And no, I have not read her The Family Upstairs or Then She Was Gone which are sitting on my Kindle while I keep piling on new books to read. And yes, I still need access to this even though I haven’t read those two, because I know in my heart that I am going to absolutely love those two. It is a valid logic, right?

Final Cut by SJ Watson

So, I already have my ARC of this. Yessssssssssssss!!!! I absolutely loved SJ Watson’s Before I Go to Sleep, so I was really excited for this one. Believe me if Transworld had asked me to slay a lion I would have done that for this book. If they had asked me to go to the past to slay a Dinosaur I might have managed to do that too, just for an arc of this book. But thankfully I didn’t have to do anything of that sort, they gave me early access with just a simple request on Netgalley.

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, for this feature you have to make a list of 10 books for the prompts given.

That’s all guys! Now let’s chat, What are your most anticipated releases for this year? And what topic did you decide to do/re-do for TTT today? Link your TTTs below, I really want to check them out.

  1. I actually got one of my most anticipated releases in the mail today! I was so excited for Take a Hint, Dani Brown because of how much I loved Get a Life, Chloe Brown, and now I have the book in my hands!

As for unreleased titles, I cannot wait for Boyfriend Material by Alexis Hall, and Recommended for You by Laura Silverman! Thankfully they both come out within the next few months!
