June Reading & Blogging Wrap Up + A New Readathon

Hi guys, welcome! Today I am here with another monthly wrap up. June was a disastrous month, reading wise. I took 14 days to finish a 290 pages book! Yay, it was a disaster with capital D. There were so so many books I had wanted to read last month, but well….. I got addicted to a TV series, okay! I watched two seasons of it and then lost all interest in it. Go Girl! So only thing that happened last month was I WASTED TIME. Anyway I don’t want to talk about this anymore, let’s just begin this wrap up and get it over with.

Ohhh! I forgot to share a news. On 25th June my wee blog became six months old! Yes, I have been doing this for 6 months now, and I hadn’t quit!!!!

Reading Wrap Up

I read 3 books last month.

The Pact by Jodi Picoult

The first book I finished last month was The Pact. When I closed this book, I had two thoughts. One, this is one of the best books I have ever read and second, it will take me a long time (if not never) before I will be able to look at that cover again without tearing up. I love love loved this book and I highly recommend it. I gave this book 4.5 stars. You can read my full review for this book here.

Buried Angels by Patricia Gibney

The next book I finished last month was Buried Angels by Patricia Gibney. It is a really good police procedural. It is super addictive and engaging and most importantly there was not a single moment in this book where I felt bored, or I felt like I should put this book down and read something else. And believe me when I say this, I was totally clueless about whodunit and whydonit for the whole first 80% of this book. I didn’t even have any theories. If you are looking for an awesome police procedural, you know which one to pick! I gave this book 4 stars. You can read my full review here.

The Lullaby Monsters by Cynthia Mackey

The last book I finished in June was this children’s book by Cynthia Mackey. It has a really cute and beautiful story. And the illustrations are also very adorable and sweet. I think this will make a good bedtime story for young children. I gave this book 4 stars. Read my full Goodreads review here.

Read a Rainbow Readathon

After this disaster of a reading month I decided I need to do something, July has to be a better reading month. So for July I decided to take part in a readathon. The name of this readathon is Read A Rainbow Readathon and it is going to run for the whole month of July. It is hosted by @bookspixiedust_. The aim of this readathon is to read a book for every colour of a rainbow. You can double up if you want but I have decided to challenge myself and read one book for each colour, that is 7 books in total. Please guys, wish me luck, I really want to complete this readathon.
